A Bit of Inspiration

Bit of Inspiration:

It’s always exciting to see the creativity that organizations put into making fundraisers a success. Listed below are some of the ideas that Rewired & Real believes will get and keep you motivated throughout your fundraiser.

  1. Play a motivational audio over the intercom about being kind and spreading kindness. Have students say the generosity pledge daily before classes start. Here is the pledge: “I promise to perform all Acts of Kindness selflessly. I will do all I can to help others while expecting nothing in return.”
  2. Host a Service Night so that parents and children can work together with local organizations to serve the community. Some of the things that can be done at Service Night are creating bookmarks for local book clubs, decorating cookies for the homeless shelter, hand-make inspirational greeting cards, gather new toys for kids in the hospital, decorate collars for service animals, etc. Activities like this will support the values that are important to your organization. You can also ask participants to bring items for a donation drive.
  3.  At your Launch Ceremony, dedicate a segment to remembering and honouring active service men and women as well as those who have departed. This sets the tone for students to think about others and not just themselves. They can use the examples of these individuals to be of service to others selflessly.
  4. Involve the faculty in your fundraiser whenever possible. Have them talk about the incentives with students, as well as talk with them about the top class producer and top students. Ask them to help students to come up with activities that are fun and that that can spread kindness and have them coordinate these activities. The teachers can also create activities that they believe their students will like.
