Powerup Your Fundraiser

Boost your Fundraiser

Group participation is a key to the success of a fundraiser. It can sometimes be difficult to get participants engaged. So how do you get them to participate? How do you encourage them to spread kindness, and to continue to participate throughout the fundraiser?

Incentives are great motivators

Students love to be competitive and once there is a prize to be won, they are more likely to participate in the Acts of Kindness. This is a great motivator. Especially if there is a grand prize or large prizes that students can win. Students need to be constantly reminded that the fundraiser is happening, and that their help is needed to make it a success. Students can be reminded during AM/PM announcements. In addition, during these announcements tokens can be given to students who are doing well at performing their AOKs and raising funds. This will help to build enthusiasm among students, and to foster competition.

This is not about selling, but paying it forward by performing Acts of Kindness.

Tips to encourage participation

  1. Talk about the prizes in all communications and announcements such as on social media and via emails.
  2. Remind Students to log their Acts of Kindness that they perform daily.
  3. Create excitement around recognizing those who are doing well! (Example: Sean is currently in the top spot for completing the most AOKs. He completed 15 Acts of Kindness so far while raising over $500! He is now able to collect his prize for doing more than 10 AOKs.)
  4. Engage the students' favourite teachers to help encourage participation by having them hand out prizes and tokens to the students’ who are doing well in the fundraiser.

Incentives have proven to be an effective form of motivating students to participate in general. They like to be rewarded for their efforts.”

Rewired & Real makes it easy to reward participants for their hard work and efforts. We have incentive ideas you can use if you choose. We also have a prize program with prize ideas that you can use, tokens for the participants to turn in for prizes and a Launch Video to kickstart your fundraiser to get the students excited about the prizes that they can earn through being kind as well as making a positive impact in their communities.
